Privacy policy
Last updated 3 October 2026.
This is an outline written so that the owner and a lawyer have a structure to complete. Every statement in square brackets is a placeholder. The factual parts describe how this website and Sextant work today; the legal parts are not written yet, and nothing on this page is in force.
Who is responsible
PressureLabs ([LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]) is responsible for the personal data described here (the “controller”). Contact: [CONTACT ADDRESS].
This website
This policy covers every page of this website: the PressureLabs pages and each product’s pages, such as Sextant’s. The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or trackers, and loads no content from other servers. [HOSTING PROVIDER] may keep standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for [RETENTION PERIOD] to operate and protect the site. [To be completed once hosting is chosen.]
Email to PressureLabs
If you write to us, we receive your email address and what you write. [MAILBOX PROVIDER] stores the messages for us. [How long they are kept, and why. To be completed once the mailbox exists.]
The Sextant app
The app does not send us any data. Your recordings, transcripts, speaker names and voice profiles, highlights, summaries, notes and settings are stored only on your Mac. The app has no telemetry, no analytics and no crash reporting, and it has no account.
The app connects to the internet only when you start it:
- to download its speech and language models from Hugging Face;
- to install an optional helper for one extra local transcription recipe, from the hosts listed on Sextant’s privacy and security page;
- if you turn on third-party transcription, to send the audio of your calls to the provider you chose (today, ElevenLabs), using your own API key. That provider processes the audio under its own terms and privacy policy, as a service you use directly. [LAWYER: describe the roles.]
Purchases
[When a product goes on sale: which payment provider processes payments and what it receives; what the licensing service stores (for example the email address the licence is sent to, the licence itself, the order), for how long, and why. To be written once the payment provider and the licensing service are decided.]
Your rights
[LAWYER: the rights of the people concerned under the applicable law (for example access, correction, deletion, objection, complaint to a supervisory authority) and how to exercise them.]
Changes
[How changes to this policy are announced.]
