Sextant
The licence

Your recordings and your responsibilities
Sextant records audio and video on your Mac when you tell it to. You are responsible for recording lawfully: in many places you need the consent of the other people on a call before you record it. Sextant’s “Tell the call” helper can help you announce a recording, but it is not legal advice. [LAWYER: wording of the user’s responsibility for consent and for the content recorded.]
Your recordings, transcripts and notes are stored on your Mac. We have no copy and cannot recover them for you.
Third-party services you choose
If you turn on third-party transcription in Sextant, the audio of your calls is sent to the provider you chose (today, ElevenLabs) under your own account with them. Their terms and privacy policy apply to that service. [LAWYER: confirm wording.]
Purchases and refunds
